With the computer more readily available and cell phones’ ability to access the Internet more than half of all people have thrown out their phone books and are going online to find businesses. Trends is Advertising – Local Restaurants

More People Eating Out

According to the National Restaurant Association (NRA), in 1955 just 25% out of every family food dollar was spent eating in restaurants, presently that has grown to 48%. It’s projected that in 2009, more than a half a trillion dollars will be spent eating in restaurants. Restaurants are an essential part of daily life.

“On a typical day in America in 2009 more than 130 million individuals will be food service patrons.” –National Restaurant Association

This is a significant consumer market for small businesses to advertise to and just one advertising publication created to reach this market – Coffee News! Founded in 1988 Coffee News has grown to be the #1 restaurant publication world wide. Each week Coffee News is read by millions of restaurant goers in more than 50 countries, and it continues to grow.

For the most small businesses, approximately 8 out 10 of their customers come from a 5 mile radius.

Does it make since to spend your advertising dollars marketing to just the 20%? For most businesses, No! Local businesses need local advertising.

On average, we’re exposed to more than 3,000 different advertsing messages daily. Advertising is everywhere. Businesses must be more savvy than ever with how they present themselves and spend their ad dollars. Most small and medium-sized businesses are very poorly served by print, radio and TV advertising because of the simple fact that in order to reach the people who are potential customers, they have to buy at least four or more times the circulation they need. Even direct mail, which does allow them to choose their own circulation, can be very expensive.

Enter Coffee News. Your neighborhood business NEEDS neighborhood coverage, and there is very little, if any, advertising media that allows you to target your advertising dollars so precisely and so effectively. Coffee News manages to reach the highest and most potent concentration of potential customers of ANY media — for a fraction of the cost!
